Police have released an image of a man they'd like to speak to after an assault outside a Newcastle bar.
It was reported a 35-year-old man was outside Pop World in the Bigg Market when he was punched to the left side of his face and knocked unconscious by a stranger.
The offender then left the area in a taxi.
The victim was hospitalised with a fractured eye socket and cuts to the face.
It happened at around 9.30pm on June 11 and a Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Our investigation is ongoing and today we've issued the image of a man who was in the area at the time, and might have information which can help.
"The man, anyone who knows him, or anyone who can help the investigation is asked to contact police by using the Tell us Something page on our website quoting crime refence 068304V/22."
