One man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Spennymoor yesterday that saw power tools stolen from an address.
The incident happened on Gerard Street in the early hours of yesterday morning, (Thursday, August 25).
A suspected wearing a padded black hooded coat, black tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers is believed to have been seen in the area.
Officers are asking residents to check their CCTV and dashcam footage for any suspicious activity in the area between 3.30am and 5.30am.

They particularly want to hear from anyone who has footage of the area between Gerard Street, Westmoreland Close and Half Moon Lane.
A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and has been remanded in custody to appear before magistrates today (Friday, August 26).
