Firefighters were called to deal with a fire on a farm near Thirsk that spread across farm machinery.

Crews from Northallerton and Ripon were sent to the farm at Sutton Under Whitestonecliffe shortly before 10am today (August 25).

They used hose reels and foam to extinguish the fire which damaged a number of farm machines.

Thankfully nobody was injured during the incident.

Last night firefighters also dealt with a blaze on the cliffside at Whitby.

It broke out shortly before 8.30pm on Tate Hill and covered an area measuring 15m by 15m

A crew from Whitby used one hose reel jet to safely extinguish the fire.
