A thug who attacked a man with a metal bar before smashing his car up has been jailed.
Jordan Reece Nicholson was standing outside a shop in Rutland Avenue, Bishop Auckland, when he approached a man who had just pulled up in his car at around 7.30pm on Friday night(August 19).
The 20-year-old, of Bell Street, Bishop Auckland, began to to attack the man and smashed his windscreen with the bar before fleeing the scene along with others who were also involved.

Officers identified Nicolson from CCTV and arrested him.
Despite replying “no comment interview” when interviewed, he was charged with affray and possessing an offensive weapon.
Nicholson appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced to ten months in prison.
DS Sarah Hindmarsh, of the South Durham Volume Crime Team, said: “This was an appalling unprovoked attack outside a local shop, in which Nicholson and others involved showed no concern for genuine members of the public.
“We will continue to investigate the incident and bring all involved to justice for all the members of the local community who deserve to feel safe in the area they live."
