Newcastle United footballer Allan Saint-Maximin has further adorned himself with his fanbase after taking some time out to buy toys for hundreds of young fans.
The winger, who joined Newcastle in 2019 and has quickly established himself as a fan favourite both on and off the pitch, is known for his generous gestures.
However, over the weekend, Newcastle’s number ten went above and beyond after he was spotted spending thousands of pounds in Metrocentre – but the items weren’t for him.
Spotted at the popular shopping centre, the St James’ Park hero took the time to meet and greet hundreds of young fans and then offered to buy them all toys.

In footage shared online by YouTuber Adam Pearson, the Frenchman can be seen signing boots, shirts and posing for photos, while in other photos he can be seen at the till buying different items for children and their families.
After the footage was shared to Twitter and Facebook, droves of fans were quick to praise the 25-year-old footballer for his “heroic” gesture.
"This man is an absolute god. Man of the people. Allan Saint-Maximin you absolute beautiful man. I’ve never seen so many kids and even parents as happy in my life. Take a bow ASM," one fan said, while another added: "I’m not a Newcastle fan, but Saint-Maximin seems like one of the most likeable fellas in the world, this is just brilliant.”

Alongside the footballer’s spending spree in a toy shop, he was also the main attraction at a pop-up event for Helios in the Metrocentre, which saw a meet and greet session for fans, which he posted to his personal Instagram account.
As far as generous gestures go, Allan Saint-Maximin doesn’t shy away from kindness after he has been spotted on several occasions handing out expensive and luxury items to fans after games.

After Newcastle’s win over Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign, the forward went over to a group of supporters and gifted one of them a Rolex watch, much to the fans delight.
