A car was left overturned and abandoned after a crash near Northallerton - and police still can’t find the person responsible.
The incident happened at around 7.45pm yesterday on Allerton Wath Road, Borrowby.
Police received reports of a single-vehicle crash and found a fiat 500 had come to rest on its side and the driver made off.
The driver of the vehicle has been described as a white female, 30-years-old, 5ft tall, slim to medium build and wearing a stripy peach top, jeans and sandals.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We have spent the last few hours searching the area but have not been able to locate the driver.
“If you have any information to assist us in locating the driver it please could you contact us on 101 quoting reference 122200149570”
