Police have today (Saturday, August 13) confirmed that a man has sadly died after being hit by a car in a supermarket car park.
The 77-year-old old pedestrian was walking through the Lidl carpark in Northallerton when a black Volkswagen ID3 collided with him.
It happened at around 1.35pm on the afternoon of Monday, August 8 and the man was taken by air ambulance to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
North Yorkshire Police have today renewed their appeal for any witnesses to the incident who have not yet come forward, or anyone who has dashcam footage.
