It is expected to rain for the majority of Tuesday and into Wednesday (August 17) morning.
However high temperatures are still forecast this weekend with an amber weather warning in place for some parts of the country which could hit 35C on Friday (August 12), making it hotter than parts of the Caribbean.

The water company said that parts of Yorkshire had seen the lowest rainfall since records began more than 130 years ago and announced a ban would come into place on August 26.
Announcing the decision, the company’s director of water Neil Dewis said: “Our decision to introduce a hosepipe ban is based on the risk that water stocks continue to fall in the coming weeks and the need to be cautious about clean water supplies and long-term river health.”
Temperatures could reach 27C on Friday as the latest heatwave to grip the country continues.
