People had to be rescued after a car became stuck in the North Sea while trying to cross the causeway to Holy Island.
The coastguard requested the immediate launch of Seahouses Inshore Lifeboat to the report of a vehicle containing two occupants stranded at 2pm on Wednesday.
The water was up to the bonnet and the vehicle was being pushed off the road by the tide.

A spokesperson for the RNIL said: “On arrival, coastguard officers, who had waded out to the vehicle, were holding the vehicle thereby preventing it from being washed away.
“The casualties were extracted from the vehicle, and along with the coastguard officers, transported to the mainland.
“The casualties were handed into the care of the coastguard on the shore.
“Seahouses ILB then left the scene and returned to station.”
