Lewis Capaldi fans have been left disappointed and angry after he cancelled a gig in Scarborough with less than 24-hours notice.
Emails and text messages were issued to fans the night before the event informing them that the show was cancelled.
The star was set to perform at Scarborough Open Air Theatre tonight (Thursday, August 11).
In a statement issued to event-goers, it was revealed that he was forced to cancel due to an “illness”
It added: “We wish Lews well and a speedy recovery and hope to welcome him back to Scarborough Open Air Theatre in the future.”

However, fans have taken to social media to voice their anger, with some fans stressing that he should have at least rescheduled the event.
One person on Facebook said they have been waiting for two-years to see the singer-songwriter.
Lynette Cook said: “Disappointed! Cancelled again! This was for a Mum and daughter’s special birthday two years ago. Won’t rebook if rescheduled.
Another person, known as Matt, Tweeted Lews Capaldi directly saying: “£300 Hotel, babysitter for the night, dogsitter for the night, two-days unpaid off work, a p***** off Mrs and sister because you cancelled the night before... you better have lost your voice....”
