A road will remain closed until next next week after a burst water main flooded the carriageway on Wednesday evening.
The A1290 Wessington Way, westbound carriageway, is closed from Northern Way to the Northern Spire Bridge junction as repair work is due to be carried out today on the water main.
Water several inches deep flooded the road and pictures on social media showed a huge amount of water covering both carriageways.
An update on Thursday afternoon confirmed it will remain closed until Tuesday, August 16, while the repairs to the failed water trunk main are carried out.
