Thursday will bring another dry and clear day with increasingly hot temperatures across the North East.
Coastal areas will see somewhat cooler conditions, the Met Office says, with a fresher breeze and perhaps some low cloud developing through the evening.
But that doesn't stop the maximum temperature reaching 31 °C in some places.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday
High pressure continues to bring dry settled weather through the weekend, with very warm temperatures. Overnight may see coastal low cloud spreading inland, burning back quickly by day.
