A man found dead in a flat has been named as 'beloved dad, grandad and brother' Alan Garbutt as detectives continue their murder investigation.
Alan Garbutt died following an alleged incident in Guisborough in the early hours of Monday morning (August 8).
The 62-year-old suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead after officers were called to Helmsley House in Guisborough around 2.20am.
Alan’s family today paid tribute to him, saying: “Our beloved dad, grandad and brother will be missed dearly but will never be forgotten.”
The family have asked for privacy whilst they grieve in peace.

Further arrests have now been made in connection with the investigation into Mr Garbutt’s death.
A 16-year-old boy, two men aged 28, a 43-year-old man and a 47-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder and all remain in police custody at this time.
A 45-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
A 23-year-old woman also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remains in police custody at this time.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) are appealling to anyone who may have information or anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area around the time of the incident to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 139388.
