A man has been arrested for dangerous driving after a BMW led officers from two North East police forces on a high-speed chase before it was eventually stopped.
The BMW failed to stop for Northumbria Police and headed down the A19 toward Seaham, where Durham Road Policing Unit and motorcycle units picked up the pursuit.
The car was eventually brought to a safe stop near a fast food takeaway in Washington.

A man was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent and other offences, including dangerous driving.
Durham Police posted on their Facebook page: "This BMW was involved in a cross-border pursuit this morning after the driver failed to stop for Northumbria Police.
"The vehicle travelled A19 Southbound to Seaham where Durham RPU and motorcycle units became involved.
"The pursuit was eventually ended in Washington, and the male arrested for numerous offences including dangerous driving and TWOC.
"A great joint effort between two forces to bring this to a safe conclusion."
