Officers investigating a serious assault in which a victim was sprayed with suspected ammonia have released the image of a man who they would like to trace.
An investigation has been ongoing since the incident that happened about 11am on May 18 inside an address on Ellison Main Gardens, in Gateshead.
It was reported that a number of offenders entered the address and assaulted two men who were inside.

The male victims, in their 20s, were both assaulted by the offenders before one of them was sprayed with suspected ammonia.
The victims sustained serious injuries and were both taken to hospital.
Now, as part of their inquiries, officers have released the image of a man who they would like to identify.
He was in the area at the time of the incident and could have information that assists the ongoing investigation.
