The average temperatures across the UK will peak on Saturday, August 13.
The North East, however, will see its hottest day this Wednesday (August 10).
People have been urged to refrain from hosting barbeques and there has been little rain recently and the likelihood of fires heightens as 15 homes were evacuated following a garden fire that spread out of control in Essex.
The Met Office has warned of “very little meaningful rain” over the next week.
