Seaham Food Festival is set to return this weekend with thousands of people expected to visit across the two-day event.
There will be about 100 traders, bars and stalls selling street food and at the event on the County Durham coastline on Saturday and Sunday (August 6-7).
One of the highlights for visitors is sure to be performances by celebrity chefs who will take to the stage at the cookery theatre at the centre of the event.

The chefs’ performances will be free to watch and are sure to draw huge crowds with some famous names and local stars on the bill, including stars of TV’s MasterChef, Eat Well For Less and Great British Bake Off: The Professionals.
Which celebrity chefs are cooking at the Seaham Food Festival?
The full line-up of celebrity chefs cooking at the event has now been revealed, with a packed line up of shows on both days.
Here is a full list of the chefs who you’ll be able to see at the food festival and the times of their performances.
Chris Bavin
Chef, author and co-presenter of BBC1’s Eat Well for Less Chris Bavin will be at the event on Saturday and Sunday.
He will be hosting cookery theatre on both days, introducing fellow chefs up on stage.
Pookie
Pookie Tredell was runner-up of MasterChef 2022, having reached the final of the TV culinary show and will appear at the Seaham Food Festival on Saturday.

Cherish Finden
Judge of Great British Bake Off: The Professionals Cherish Finden is known for her formidable judging style and feisty personality.
She is a multi-award-winning pasty chef with over 20 years of experience around the world.
- Show times: 11.15am and 1.30pm on Saturday August 6
Ryan Riley
Sunderland-born chef Ryan Riley will also be taking to the cookery stage on Saturday.
The local lad founded the multi-award-winning Life Kitchen and cookery school of the same name in 2019, offering free cookery classes, demonstrations and events to people with cancer across Europe.

Kyle Greenwood
Lesser-known Kyle is chef at Seaham Hall and was awarded the gong of North East Chef of the Year 2022.
Speaking when he was announced, Cllr Elizabeth Scott, Durham County Council’s Cabinet member for economy and partnerships, said: “We are really excited to welcome a chef from a local business to the fantastic line up of food and entertainment on offer at this year’s festival.”

Stacie Stewart
Local lass Stacie Stewart rose to fame when she reached the final four on MasterChef in 2010, and has since appeared on programmes including ITV’s This Morning and Channel 4’s How to Lose Weight Well.
- Show times: 10.30am and 1.30pm on Sunday August 7

Matt Tebbutt
TV chef and Saturday Kitchen Presenter Matt Tebbutt will be appearing on stage at the Seaham festival on Sunday.
- Show times: 11.30am and 2.30pm on Sunday August 7
Jean-Christophe Novelli
Michellin starred chef Jean-Christophe Novellie will be appearing on stage on the Sunday sharing cooking tips from his career as an award-winning restauranteur.
The chef and author started out as a baker in Northern France aged just 14 and came to the UK in 1983.
