A popular fast-food chain is giving away 1,000 free burgers at one of its stores today (August 3) to celebrate its reopening.
Burger King is giving away 1,000 of its iconic Whopper burger to customers at its North Shields store today to celebrate it reopening.
The North Shields branch of the well-known fast-food restaurant on Bedford Street reopened its doors to customers on Sunday (July 31).

Now the chain are giving away 1,000 free burgers, which are sure to be popular as the school holidays continue and people struggle with the cost of living crisis.
To be able to pick up a free ‘whopper’, or vegan plant-based alternative, visitors will need to retrieve a code online and show it to staff in the North Shields store.
Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Burger King® UK, commented: “We know the people of North Shields love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites back to their neighbourhood.”
The newly reopened branch has created 15 jobs in the local area and the company are still looking for a restaurant manager and assistant manager.
