A well-known shoe retailer will be moving into Darlington’s Cornmill Centre this week.
Wynsors World of Shoes, founded in 1956, is a ‘value’ footwear retailer, with a focus on family footwear essentials at affordable prices.
The retailer, which has over 45 branches in England offers men’s, women’s and children’s footwear from brands such as; Adidas, Sketchers, and Kickers.
The soon-to-open shop in the Cornmill is sandwiched between Yours Clothing and Superdrug on the first floor of the shopping centre.

Susan Young, Centre Manager at the Cornmill Centre, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Wynsors into the centre and are looking forward to having one of the UK’s leading family footwear retailers as part of the Cornmill. We believe that their trading philosophy of being “a one stop shop for value footwear for the whole family” will be a big hit with our customers.”
The shop will be opening this Friday (August 5) at 9am.
As Clarks closed in Darlington in March 2020, Charles Clinkard on Blackwellgate, The Show Box on Blackwellgate, Shoe Zone on Northgate and now Wynsors in the Cornmill Centre are options for shoe-loving shoppers.
Other branches of Wynsors closest to Darlington include Hartlepool and Stockton.
