A new 30-bedroom boutique hotel in County Durham that has been pinpointed as a major UK wedding venue has opened its doors after a multi-million-pound revamp.
Runa Farm, which is based in Barnard Castle, just on the North Yorkshire border, has marketed itself as a unique venue – boasts a country pub, boho wedding venue, and hotel – and is expected to stage plenty of weddings and events in the future.
Run by The Apartment Group, this is the latest in a long line of hotels that the company have opened in recent times.

She said: “The result is a loveable, laid-back, and luxurious County Durham country retreat complete with standout spaces and suites, field-to-fork dining, inviting people to gather, feast, stay, and enjoy every element of its feelgood spirit and endless appeal.
