Keen runners and marathon fanatics will be in full swing of all things training as the world's biggest half marathon quickly approaches.
As the Great North Run returns to the streets of the North East, seeing 60,000 determined runners take part and thousands more line the streets to support the athletes.
Whether you are a dedicated runner aiming for a medal and personal best or just a keen supporter, the most important thing to know is when the event is taking place.

In addition to the Great North Run, there's the Great North 5K and the Junior & Mini Great North Run also taking place.
When does the Great North Run start?
Well, it's not long now as the half marathon will be taking place on Sunday, September 11.
Last year the event took place just a day later on September 12 and marked the first Great North Run following the cancellation of 2020 due to the covid pandemic.
When is the Great North 5K?
For those looking for a fast and fun route, you might enjoy taking part in the Great North 5K.
Participants will run alongside the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside.
The Great North 5K takes place on Friday, September 9 at 6pm.
When is the Junior & Mini Great North Run?
If you have an avid little runner taking on the Junior & Mini Great North Run you'll need to know when its taking place.
The special child-friendly race takes place on the Quayside on Saturday, September 10.
