Coach of the victorious Lionesses, Sarina Wiegman, revealed the reason she was kissing her wristband during the match after fans spotted the gesture.
Wiegman has shared that she dedicated the historic win to her late sister who passed away just a month before the championship.
This saw the coach take some time away from camp to grieve with her family.
Following Wiegman's return, the team asked if they could wear black mourning bands for their first game to dedicate the match to her loss.

After England's historic 2-1 win against Germany, fans noticed that one of the first things Wiegman did was kiss her bracelet.
Sharing the reason in the post-match press conference the coach said: "I'm kissing this little armband that was my sister's.
"My sister passed away during our prep camps.
"That's a really big miss because she's my mate.
"She would have been here, she went to every game, so she would have been really proud of me, and I was really proud of her too."
The England team claimed the victory and ended 56 years of losses after defeating Germany 2-1 in extra time with Ella Toone and Chloe Kelly scoring the winning goals.
Wiegman was made England manager just 10 months ago and has now won two Euros championships after leading the Netherlands to glory five years ago.
