A man has been killed following a crash in the early hours of the morning which involved a vehicle being driven at "excessive speeds" on the wrong side of the road.
The collision happened in Norton's Junction Road shortly before 6am today (Saturday, July 30).
Police and other emergency services attended the scene from 5.47am today. The collision involved two vehicles, a blue Land Rover Freelander and a blue Nissan Qashqai.

Police have confirmed this afternoon that the male passenger in the Land Rover Freelander has died.
The 20-year-old driver of the vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A spokesperson said it is thought the vehicle was being driven on the wrong side of the road at "excessive speed".
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Sadly, a male passenger in the Land Rover Freelander lost his life.
"The male has not yet been formally identified so police are not releasing further details at this time but specially trained officers are offering support to his family.
"The driver of the Land Rover Freelander, a 20-year-old-man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
"At the time of the collision the Land Rover Freelander is thought to have been travelling westbound, at excessive speed and on the wrong side of the road, where it was then in collision with the Qashqai."

Officers investigating the circumstances are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision on Junction Road to contact them.
Police are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV to contact them on 101, reference 133388.
