Seven people from Darlington were hauled before the courts for speeding in the last two weeks.
Speeding is a pretty common offence usually landing people with a fine, however, sometimes prison sentences can be dished out if the person has a history of speeding.
We’ve pulled together a list of seven people who were charged for speeding in courts in the last three weeks.
- Shaun Gannon, 35 of Fulthorpe Avenue, Darlington
Gannon had his case heard before County Durham and Darlington Magistrates court on Thursday, July 14.
He was charged with speeding after being caught going over 30mph by manned equipment when travelling down Carmel Road North.
He was fined £100 for the offence and made to pay £34 to victim services.
He was also endorsed with three points on his driving licence.

- Suzanne Lyons, 34 of Marwood Crescent, Darlington
Lyons had her case heard before County Durham and Darlington Magistrates court on Tuesday, July 12.
She was charged with speeding after going over 30mph on the A1150 in Great Burdon.
She was fined £106 and made to pay £34 to victim services and £90 in court costs.
She was also made give three points on her driving licence.
- Louis Glenn Franklin, 33 of Kingsway, Darlington
Franklin had his case heard before Cleveland Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 14.
He was charged with speeding after being caught going over 50moh while travelling on Wynyard Road.
He was fined £224, made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 in court costs.
Franklin also had his driving record endorsed with four points.
- Arran Paul James Davison, 31 of Orchard Road, Darlington
Davison had his case heard before County Durham and Darlington Magistrates Court on Monday, July 11.
He was charged with speeding when he was caught going over 30mph by manned equipment while travelling on Thompson Street East.
He was fined £166 for the offence and made to pay £34 to victim services and £90 in court costs.
His driving record was endorsed with three points as well.
- Kevin Leonard Walls, 49 of Welbeck Avenue, Darlington
Walls had his case heard before North Kent Magistrates Court on Monday, July 18.
He was charged with speeding after going over 11mph over the speed limit when he was caught going 41mph on a 30mph road.
He was fined £80 for the offence and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £90 in court costs.
Walls was also given four points on his driving licence.
- Daljit Kaur, 47 of North Road, Darlington
Kaur had her case heard before County Durham and Darlington Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 21.
She was charged with speeding after being caught going over 30mph by manned equipment.

She was fined £66 for the offence and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £110 in court costs.
Kaur was also issued three points on his driving licence.
- Diar Shico, 50 of Earl Carlson, Darlington
Shico had his case heard before County Durham and Darlington Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 27.
He was charged with speeding after he was caught going over 30mph on Thompson Street East.
He was fined £100 for the offence and was also made to pay £34 to victim services and £90 in court costs.
Shico also had his driving licence endorsed with four points.
