As the Summer holidays get underway many families will be looking to book last minute holidays across Europe to soak up some sun and relax.
With new routes running from Teesside Airport this summer, there are a range of European destinations easily reachable from County Durham and the Tees Valley.
Holidaymakers flying out of the airport have already praised it for an ‘easy’ and ‘less overwhelming’ experience so far this summer.

If you haven’t booked a break away this summer, here are some last minute trips to destinations across Europe, according to LoveHolidays.
Portugal
Some of the cheapest holidays away are to the Algarve, with RyanAir operating flights to Faro airport from Teesside Airport.
From £269pp, holidaymakers could enjoy seven nights in Portugal, flying on Wednesday August 31 and returning on Wednesday September 7.
Corfu
Budget airline RyanAir are also flying to the Greek Island of Corfu from Teesside this year.
Families wanting to spend a week soaking up the Greek sun could book a trip to Corfu for just £326pp, flying on Friday August 12 and returning the next week.
Mallorca
Both TUI and RyanAir are flying to Mallorca over the summer and a seven night stay on the island could cost just £328pp.
This deal is for the end of August with outbound flights with RyanAir on Tuesday August 30 and return flights on Tuesday September 6.

Holland
Families could opt for a slightly different holiday destination and enjoy a break in The Netherlands.
The cheapest deal for a seven night stay in the country is for £344pp with flights from Teesside on Friday August 12 and August 19.
Bulgaria
Balkan Holidays are running twice weekly flights to Burgas, Bulgaria until the end of September.
Just a three-and-a-half-hour flight away, Bulgaria has a strong history and beautiful beaches.
For £365pp families could enjoy a seven night self-catering stay in the resort of ‘Sunny Beach’.
