A father has spoken of his shock and surprise at seeing a naked man cycling through a County Durham village while on a tandem bike.
Macauley Underwood was with his five-year-old son Leighton, who who exclaimed: “Dad I can see his bum bum.”
The incident unfolded in the village of Coxhoe, near Durham, shortly after lunch on Monday.

Mr Underwood, 26, of nearby Fishburn, described the shocking site: “My son and I came out of the Italian Farmhouse in Coxhoe when they rode past.
“I sort of looked at my son and he looked at me and he was just as confused as me. I thought am I seeing things here.
“There were people at the garage looking at each other in disbelief. Everyone was puzzled.

- “I thought I was seeing things. My son said ‘Dad I can see his bum bum’. I said ‘yes son you can’. My son replied ‘that’s weird’.
“I thought someone had just lost the plot.”
The nude man, who was steering the tandem, was accompanied by a fully-clothes passenger.
It is believed to be the same couple were spotted on Monday pedaling on the roads of Teesside.
Mr Underwood said: “It’s definitely not something you expect to see every day. It’s crazy. “I shared the moment. And lots of people have seen them. It’s been a good talking point.”
