A North East cemetery was cordoned off last night as emergency services responded to an incident.
Several police cars and the North East Ambulance Service were present at Thornaby Cemetery, near the A1130, at around 8:45pm. Crime Scene Investigators were also later sighted in the area.
The road outside the cemetery was partially blocked due to the high number of vehicles.
The reason for the cemetery’s temporary closure is unconfirmed. Cleveland Police and the North East Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
