Summer holiday makers are jetting off from Teesside Airport to countries across Europe as the school holidays get underway.
Thousands will use the airport over the next few weeks with holiday operators running flights to destinations including Mallorca, Corfu, Alicante, and Faro.
Holiday chaos at some airports and ports across the UK appears to have been avoided at Teesside with many holiday-makers flying out of the airport praising it for the experience.
The Northern Echo was given special airside access at the airport to chat to holiday makers as the summer break begins.

The Hunter-Hughes family from Hartlepool were heading off to Mallorca for a week on their summer break.
They said: “It’s so much easier for us flying from Teesside. It’s the fact that its smaller, easier to get to and much less overwhelming which helps as our son has autism.
“It’s great the work they’ve done so far over the last few years, it just needs a bit more investment through.”
Holidaymakers Maurice Foster and Mal Heighton who were heading off to Palma to join a cruise told us: “We were literally at home 45 minutes ago and now we’re half way through a pint.”
Meanwhile Mr Hall, who was flying to Palma on Tuesday (July 26), an engineer in the oil and energy industry, told us how he used the airport to get to work in Aberdeen.
He said: “It’s great for me, I worked in Aberdeen and it’s so much quicker and easier than driving or getting the train.”
Last week (July 15) The Northern Echo reported that Teesside airport had recorded £11m losses over the last year.
Labour MP’s slammed the airport and Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen’s plans to pump an extra £20m into it.
