With soaring temperatures affecting pets as well as people, one major North East attraction has opened an area especially for dogs to enjoy.
The North Yorkshire Water Park in Scarborough has launched its new Doggy Paddle Zone just days ahead of the heatwave hitting the UK this week.

Pooches won’t be missing out on the outdoor fun this summer and can have a paddle in one of the lakes located at the water park, enjoying the warm weather in a safe and secure space.
With the RSPCA calling for pet owners to take precautions to keep their furry friends safe during the intense heat, the water park has launched the space for dogs to exercise in style, enjoying a dip to cool down.

As well as offering a doggy paddle zone, the waterpark has a wide range of activities for all the family to enjoy, such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, open water swimming, pedalos, and the newly opened AquaPark, an inflatable obstacle course.
