Police are appealing for any witnesses or drivers with a dashcam after a hit-and-run involving an 11-year-old girl and an unknown white VW Golf.
The incident happened as the youngster was using the crossing near the junction of Marton Road and Broadwell Road in Middlesbrough at around 7.45pm on Friday, July 15.
Another vehicle which was in lane one stopped, however the Golf allegedly failed to stop at the crossing and “clipped” the child, before continuing on without stopping towards the hospital.
A witness stopped and helped the girl who sustained minor bruising and scraping to her knees but they didn’t leave their details.
Cleveland Police is also appealing for that person to come forward as they may be able to help.
Anyone with information/dash cam is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 123301
