A bus service through Sacriston was forced to make an extra stop on its route earlier this month when flying debris smashed one of the side windows.
The incident occurred on Plawsworth Road, in the County Durham town on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 6 when a brick is said to have been thrown at the side of the bus, causing one of the windows to smash.
It is believed the debris was thrown from Sacriston park at the side window of the vehicle, which broke into shards of glass.

The bus was withdrawn from service with the passengers transferred to another bus to continue their journeys.
No one was seriously injured because of the incident but one passenger claimed that a girl on the bus at the time got glass in her hair after the window broke into pieces.
Go North East have now issued a statement on the incident and have referred it to Durham police to investigate.
The Go North East statement said: “The incident involved someone throwing something at the bus from Sacriston park which smashed the window.
“There were no injuries and people were transferred to another bus.”
