With soaring temperatures, some schools are taking measures to protect pupils.
So far one school has said it will be closed on Monday (July 18) and Tuesday (July 19). Bedale High School will be closed because leaders say the building does not cope well with heat.
A number of other schools outside of the region have also taken the decision to close.

Many in the region are taking measures to help children during the period of extreme heat.
Many are relaxing uniform policies to try and make pupils more comfortable, while others have relaxed rules about drinking fluids other than water to ensure they remain hydrated.
Red Hall Primary School in Darlington is allowing pupils to drink flavoured water and juice as well as water - but has asked parents not to send children in with fizzy drinks like Coke.

The school is also selling ice pops and frozen drinks - and is offering free ones to parents when they pick up their children.

Bedale High School, North Yorkshire
The school is to be closed on Monday and Tuesday due to extreme heat.
Priory Woods School and Arts College, Middlesbrough
The school will be closed on Tuesday.
Beverley School, Middlesbrough
The school will be closed on Tuesday. It will remain open today, but parents can pick up their children if they would prefer.
