Just when you want to Neflix and chill, on Friday evening users have been reporting receiving an error message when trying to access the streaming service.
Subscribers were left unable to watch their favourite films and TV shows after the platform went down.
According to Down Detector, issues started just before 7pm with users complaining they were receiving a message saying, "Something went wrong.
"Sorry, we're having trouble with your request. You'll find lots to explore on the home page.
"Error code NSES-500"
Problems were recorded by Netflix users across the UK on Down Detector including in London, Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow.
Of the problems reported, 44% relate to problems with the website, 38% reported problems with video streaming and 17% server connection.
One viewer, calling themselves Drynet, complained on Down Detector.
They said: "I'm getting NSES-500 error. I've tried in web browser on my PC and in the App on my PC. Same result in both.
"Sometimes got in and film would play for a few seconds then drop me out with, 'sorry we are having trouble handling your request..' or similar.
"Just another reason to drop the subscription."
The media giant has confirmed they are looking into the problem and urged people "to help us investigate, please contact Netflix Customer Service".
What does Netflix error code NSES-500 mean?
According to Netflix, if you get this error, it usually means that information stored in your browser needs to be refreshed.
They suggest refreshing the page using the reload icon next to the address bar, then try Netflix again.
