An investigation was launched yesterday after a motorbike crashed with a car on the A684 in North Yorkshire – here’s everything we know so far.
When and where did the incident happen?
The incident happened at around 2.40pm yesterday (Sunday, July 10) at the junction with Sinks Lane, on the A684.

What happened?
A man riding a gold Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling on the A684 from Bedale in the direction of Crakehall.
The motorbike then crashed with a yellow five-door Ford Fiesta at the junction of Sinks Lane.
Police, fire ambulance, and the air ambulance attended the scene.
The driver was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by an air ambulance doctor after suffering serious injuries.
The driver of the car is assisting the police with the investigation.
The A684 was closed to traffic between Bedale and Crakehall until around 8.30pm last night while a full collision investigation was undertaken at the scene.

Debris was cleared from the site and both vehicles were safely removed from the road thanks to the closure.
Diversions were in place during the time.
Who was involved in the crash?
Police have not yet released information on who was involved in the crash, however, they did reveal it was a man in his mid-20s.
His family has also been notified and is receiving support from the Police.
Police continue to ask any witnesses to the crash, or anyone who has dash-cam footage of the incident to get in touch.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Witnesses to the collision, motorists with dash-cam footage or anyone who recalls seeing either vehicle prior to the incident, should email jon.moss@northyorkshire.police.uk.
