Engineers have been working on a County Durham road after it flooded with water on Monday (July 11) morning - leaving several households without water and the road closed.
Pine Road, between Ferryhill and Metal Bridge was closed from around 6am after a large quantity of water appeared on the road network.
Engineers from Northumbrian Water have been present on Pine Road this morning - where they have now cleared the water but vans still remain at the site to work out how the flood happened and to reconnect the affected properties to the network.
