Newcastle Airport has announced that six new locations will be unveiled for its 2022/23 flight schedule – giving passengers at the North East hub more choice for city breaks and summer holidays.
If you’re planning to jet off for a winter break in the sun or a summer holiday in 2023, the airport unveiled that its operators would be flying to and extending its current offering to Barcelona, Cork, Verona, Prague, Krakow, and Rome – adding to the countless other locations they now provide.
Barcelona and Cork, which will be operated by Ryanair, will sit alongside other city breaks for 2022 including Milan in Italy and Riga in Latvia.

On sale from November this year, the flights are available to book from just £19.99.
Passengers will be able to fly direct to Barcelona every Saturday and Tuesday, and to Cork every Friday and Sunday between November 2022 and March 2023.
Alongside Barcelona and Cork, Jet2 has announced Verona, Rome, Krakow and Prague to the list of destinations people can jet off to.
The City Breaks programme from Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks offers a choice of four leisure city destinations for Summer 23 from Newcastle Airport.

Four leisure city destinations on sale – brand-new Verona (weekly flights from May 10 to September 27, 2023), Rome (up to two weekly flights), Krakow (up to two weekly flights) and Prague (up to two weekly flights).
Ryanair’s Director of Digital & Marketing Dara Brady said: “We are pleased to offer Newcastle citizens more choices when choosing a destination for their Winter getaways and to also encourage Barcelona and Cork customers to book their next trip to Newcastle as soon as possible.
“To allow our customers to book early and at the lowest possible fares we have launched a limited-time seat sale with fares available from just £19.99 for travel from October ‘22 until March ’23, which must be booked by Friday, 10th of June 2022 at Ryanair.com.”
