A man has died at a Darlington property despite the best efforts of paramedics to save him.
Emergency services were called to a medical incident in Huntley Street on Monday afternoon following concerns for the welfare of a man.
Crews from Durham police, North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) and a helicopter from the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) were deployed at around 2pm and spotted in nearby South Park.
However, a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Forensic investigators were spotted outside the property by eye witnesses throughout Monday afternoon.
A NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 1.40pm to reports of a medical incident in the South Park area of Darlington. We dispatched two ambulance crews, and requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS). We are unable to provide further comment."
A spokeswoman for GNAAS added: “Our critical care team were activated at 2pm to reports of a medical incident in Darlington. They arrived on scene at 2.08pm before returning back to base at 2.47pm.”
