Come Dine With Me: The Professionals came to the North East this week (July 4) as three Newcastle restaurants competed for a big cash prize.
The new spin-off of the popular Channel 4 show sees three pairs of restauranteurs competing against each other and rating one another’s venues with a cash prize of £1,000 up for grabs for the winner.
Monday’s episode saw the programme come to the North East with three Newcastle-based restaurants taking part.
The show featured Razz and Boxa from Namaste Indian restaurant from Sunniside, Aaron and Adam from American themed Pigalos in North Shields and Anne and Gary from fish and chippy and restaurant, Balls of Prudhoe.

The Prudhoe chippy came out on top in the competition, securing first place and the £1,000 prize.
Meanwhile, Narrator Dave Lamb was criticised online by viewers for his pronunciation of the famously-hard-to-pronounce Northumbrian town of Prudhoe.
Posting on Twitter, one viewer commented: “Never heard such an odd way of saying Prudhoe. And believe me I've heard some belters.”
The new series started just last week (Monday June 27), based on the fan-favourite show which has been running since 2005.
