A County Durham woman has been fined in court this week after being caught going 20mph over the speed limit while driving her Audi.
Melene Jane Appleton, 61 of Links Drive in Consett, County Durham, had her case heard before South Northumbria Magistrates Court on Monday, July 4.

She was charged after being caught speeding while going 51mph on a 30mph road while driving her Audi.
Appleton pleaded guilty and was fined £322 for the offence and was also made to pay £34 to victim services and £110 in court costs.
Her driving record was also endorsed with six points.
