Police have confirmed that a body has been found in woodlands near Helmsley in the search for missing 31-year-old Chelsea Allen.
A search team discovered the body this morning (Monday, July 4) in a woodland near Helmsley.

Although formal identification hasn’t been confirmed, officers believe the body to be that of Chelsea Allen.
The circumstances surrounding the death are not believed to be suspicious.
Chelsea’s family have been informed of this news and are currently being supported, police have said.
Concern was growing for Chelsea after she had been missing for six days since Sunday June 26.
In the following days, there was an extensive search, which involved the police and a mountain rescue team.

Large open areas around Helmsley had been covered by the Operational Support Unit and a police drone and police helicopter were called to help find Chelsea.
