The North East and North Yorkshire is expected to see a warm weekend this week as temperatures are set to rise the Met Office has said – but how hot will it get?
Although this week has kicked off with a rather underwhelming day when it comes to the weather today, things are set to get better as the week progresses.

Today, sadly, we are in for a rather breezy day with mostly cloudy conditions, some places may even see isolated showers.
In Darlington, temperatures are only set to reach a high of 17c for much of the afternoon.
What’s the weather like tomorrow?
Although it will be a chilly start for many tomorrow, long spells of sunshine and light winds will bring warmer temperatures.
In Darlington tomorrow temperatures will rise to highs of 19c, however, cloud will still remain for much of the region, keeping temperatures moderate.
Generally, more Northern areas such as Durham, will be cooler with a high of 19c tomorrow but quickly dropping to 18c for much of the afternoon.
What’s the weather like for the rest of the week?
Cloud will continue to remain throughout the week, as well as breezy conditions, however, as we near the weekend, temperatures continue to climb with each passing day.
In Darlington on Wednesday temperatures will reach highs of 20c, although wind speeds will also be picking up with 32mph winds predicted at 4pm.

Thursday will see winds drop, thankfully, bringing with it warm temperatures once again with highs of 20c at 4pm again.
Friday will continue the trend with more sun peaking through the clouds, bringing temperatures to highs of 21c.
What’s the weather like this weekend?
More southern and eastern areas of the North East will see the best of any fine and dry weather with light winds, and very warm temperatures.
In Darlington on Saturday temperatures will again reach highs of 20c, with Sunday seeing highs of 21c as more sunny conditions are expected.

More southern areas of The North East will see even warmer temperatures, Northallerton for example will see highs of 22c on Sunday.
