Police confirmed this morning that a 29-year-old has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm after robbing a One Stop store.
The incident happened at around 9.25pm on Friday June 17 at the One Stop store in Eaglescliffe.
Threats were made by the suspect before he left the store with cash and got onto a pedal bike and making off for Albert Road and then Victoria Road.
He will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, June 29) charged with the offence.
