A MAN has been left with life-changing injuries following an assault outside a takeaway.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened in the early hours of Saturday morning (June 18) outside a takeaway on Windsor Terrace in Whitby.

North Yorkshire Police have arrested five men in connection with the incident.
They have since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 1am, to get in touch.
