Tim Hortons’ new drive-thru restaurant at Teesside Park is set to open next week, and The Northern Echo went along to have a look inside.
The Canadian fast-food chain will open its doors and drive-thru at 7am on Monday (June 20) morning with big queues of excited customers expected.
They can expect a selection of donuts, pancakes, breakfasts, and hot and cold drinks.
The brand, which already has branches at Washington and Boldon, has created 80 new jobs on Teesside and staff have been training and working on the finishing touches for the last two weeks.
Catherine Furlong, centre director at Teesside Park, told The Northern Echo: “We’re always looking to bring new brands and experiences to the centre and we’re very excited that Tim Hortons has chosen us for one of its latest openings.
“The new restaurant will complement the strong mix of retailers we have at Teesside Park and we’re sure its menu, as well as its opening day giveaways, will prove very popular with our visitors when it opens its doors on 20th June.”
On opening day the store will give away free drinks for a whole year to the first customer through the drive-thru and restaurant, and a free breakfast meal to its first 100 customers.
