ONLOOKERS were wowed as the Red Arrows roared past them and performed some brilliant displays in the North East's skies.
Crowds at Teesside Airshow and around the region looked up in amazement as the world-renowned team put on a terrific display.

The Red Arrows, officially known as the Royal Force Aerobatic Team, were the star of Teesside Airshow as it got underway today after a five-year break.
And despite huge queues, for miles around many could see the display in action - and even a gigantic love heart in red.

The team made various flypasts, often roaring right by the airstrip, while the majority of the display took place at lunchtime.
