CORONATION Street star Denise Welch has taken to Twitter to voice her frustration after her Jet2 flight was delayed by over seven hours.

The TV star Tweeted Jet2 after booking a flight to Venice ready for a nice break away from the UK.

Punctuating her fury with a number of exclamation marks Ms Welch took to Twitter to demand answers from the airline service.

She said: “Please @jet2tweets tell us why our 07.55am to Venice is delayed until 3.15pm!!! WTF!! Dropped bags off last night to save time!!!!!!!”

At the time of writing, Jet2 has not yet responded to Denise Welch, however, others have joined in her frustration, while some feel the star is moaning “for Britain.”

One person said: “All airlines must be the same. I picked someone up from Manchester Airport last night. Should have landed 22.40. Ended up landing about midnight. Imagine my car park ticket price.”

Another person added: “We were delayed over 3 hours coming home from Kefalonia. No food and drink vouchers were provided by @jet2tweets even though its a legal requirement.

“Please make sure you get yours and don't forget the compensation claim for the delay when you return.”

Others have pointed out that the situation is the same for many. One person said: “It's a risk you take right now to go abroad for your holiday instead of enjoying a holiday in your own country.

“Travel industry just isn't ready for all of you. They want your money so have taken advantage of those of you who can't wait it out & be patient! Warnings were there!”

Someone else added: “Haven’t you been watching the news?? You’re lucky you still have a flight.”
