THE luxury retailer, Harrods is just days away from opening its new store in the Metrocentre - and here's what you can expect.
From glitzy decor and premium products to a tantalising champagne bar, the new Harrods H Beauty will open in the Town Square of the Gateshead shopping centre.
It comes as The Northern Echo first revealed the luxury name will be opening inside the former House of Fraser, taking over a huge 30,000 sq ft of space.

But ahead of the big day, we've put together everything we know so far including how the hugely-anticipated destination will look.
Following on from two successful store openings in 2020, Harrods has already opened a number of stores across the UK including Edinburgh, Essex and Milton Keynes.
Due to open the store in the Metrocentre on June 14, shoppers are set to be treated to "premium and luxury" beauty brands, services and treatments.

According to the retailer, a number of "in-store" services are offered at its sites including "The Playtable" which allows customers to be hands-on and experiment with products.
Meanwhile, the stores all feature "The Skincare Station" which offers treatments including minifacials and bespoke skincare consultations.
"The Mask Bar" is described as being the place for everything you need if you are looking for the perfect face mask.
In addition, all sites include virtual try-on booths and will have a Click and Collect hub for orders made online at harrods.com.
But one of the most exciting features, The Champagne Bar is likely to be a big hit as it has been described eslewhere as the perfect place for a mix of "stunning" eats, treats and cocktails.
With a menu including bakery, patisserie selection, signature cocktail drinks, lunch, sandwhiches and desserts, the eatery has already had rave reviews elsewhere after opening to much success.
