A woman driving a white hatchback stopped to help the woman on the A174 (Lazenby/Wilton bypass road) between the ICI/Kirkleatham Lane roundabout and the Greystones roundabout.
She then took the alleged victim, who’s in her 40s, to the Shell garage on Eston High Street, from where she phoned the police at 4.36am.
