Tim Hortons' new Teesside restaurant will open later this month.
The fast-food chain’s new Teesside Shopping Park site will open at 7am on June 20.
The brand has been renovating the former Frankie and Benny’s site at the retail park since it announced plans to open a store back in February.
Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons® franchise in the U.K said: “We have a huge fan base in the North of England, so are particularly excited to open the doors to our first restaurant in North Yorkshire. We’ve been engaging with the neighbouring communities on both sides of the river and know they’ll be thrilled to hear an official opening date is set.”
“We are always amazed by the lengths our fans go to get their hands on our top prizes, so we expect our launch in Teesside to be no different. We have recruited an incredible team of over fifty staff members, and they are all training hard to prepare for one of our best launches yet. We cannot wait to see you all on the 20th!”
The restaurant will be open from 6am til midnight, seven days a week.
Tim Hortons will give away free drinks for a whole year to the first customer through the drive-thru and restaurant. The brand will also give away a free breakfast meal to its first 100 customers.
The popular Canadian restaurant, which is one of North America’s largest fast-food chains, first came to the UK in 2017 and now operates 53 stores across the country.
It is famous for serving signature coffee, freshly baked donuts, and infamous Timbits®.
Tim Horton’s opened its first North East store in The Galleries, Washington in 2021 and has since opened another store at Boldon.
The new venue will have a drive-thru and seating inside for 136 guests.
