AFTER 18-months of refurbishment works, the former police station on Northallerton high street has officially opened as a 30-bedroom pub.
The Northallerton Inn was opened today (Monday, June 6) by retired police inspector John Proud who worked at the station from 1995 to 2003.
The Grade II listed building was bought by The Inn Collection Group in 2020 and has now opened after a year and a half refurbishment works.

It had stood empty since 2017 when the police staff were moved to a new headquarters at Alverton Court.
The former station now boasts 30 guest bedrooms - some of which are dog friendly - and has been transformed into a cosy pub with a dining area.
The old custody suite on the ground floor has been redeveloped into guest accommodation and a long bar now stands where the police station property store used to be.
Original features such as the stairway handrails have been retained and the pub wants to become a community hub as well as attracting tourists with special offers such as 'Walk Inn Breaks' which focus on promoting nearby walking routes.
The family-friendly pub will serve food daily, including breakfasts, and dogs are welcome.
